Summer in Houston is HOT - but also rainy! Driving the other day it started to rain and that smell of new rain on hot cement reminded me of summer rain as a child - which in turn made me think of daisy chains and buttercups! Kids nowadays - I wonder if they even make daisy chains?
I still don't have access to many of my stamping supplies - the house reconstruction is going a lot slower than anticipated, so I was at a bit of a loss as to what to make. I saw a card I had kept from card buffet that I had CASE'd from the wonderful Rachel Tessman and decided to base my card and 3d on it. It seemed to fit perfectly with my daisy memory - after all what's more summery than daisies right? Thank you Rachel for the inspiration!
I stamped the pig image in Stazon and coloured with SU pencils, used the Daisy Punch, folded it over, punched a small Daffodil Delight circle and popped it in the fold then attached it over the flower in the stamped image. Because I don't have a Big Shot around at the moment I fussy cut a circle freehand around the pig image - that's why it's a bit wobbly, layered and added some Burlap Ribbon.
