Welcome to the July Kre8tors Blog Hop!

If you have hopped on over from Su's Blog - welcome!

This month we are showcasing projects made made from a sketch challenge!

This is the sketch:
Picture
When I saw the sketch for some reason my mind went straight to 'that would make a great scrapbook page layout'...and I knew I wanted to use the photo we had taken of Eilidh last month at her graduation.

This is the finished page. The photo isn't square and I didn't want to cut it down so I did off-set it on a square mat.

Although I didn't make a card, I hope you can see that the layout of the page does essentially follow the sketch and I hope you can forgive me for taking a few liberties with it. ;P

So, The photo mat is in fact a pocket - which holds the Commencement Ceremony Program/Book. You can see in the photo below I added some strips of cardstock to hold the book and then glued the photo mat on to those strips.

To make the Graduation Mortarbaord I used the balloon punch and the Tailored Tag punch.

I love the simplicity of your scrapbook page Kirsteen! The pocket to hold the program is great idea to keep your memories safe.

Kirsteen, your use of the sketch for a scrapbook page is brilliant! Of course, you nailed it! Very classic. And I'm even more impressed that your daughter graduated from SCAD - my son will be attending this Fall. :)

Thank you for sharing! What a beautiful scrapbook page. Could you do a small video or verbally explain how to use our punches like you did? I've 15 grand and 15 great- grandchildren, I'd love to learn to make these! Again Thank YOU for sharing!
