Welcome to another stop on the Stampin Friends January Blog Hop!

This months Hop theme is 'LOVE'!

Weren't Twila's projects awesome? You can navigate back to her blog using the 'Previous' button - but the hop does go in a loop and you can also continue on to Steph's blog by clicking on the 'Next' button at the bottom of the page.

I have been busy creating projects for my upcoming St.Valentines class and so am a bit weary of red/white/St.Valentine projects in my own craft room (although I always love seeing what everyone else is making) - and, I am not a hearts and flowers girl - really I'm not! So, I decided to go for a generic 'LOVE' themed project...maybe for an Engagement/Wedding/Anniversary? And - if you change the sentiment on the box - it could be used for St.Valentines treats!

Here is my card. I kept it quite simple - and if you've been following along on my blog for the last few projects you'll see I am getting a great deal of use from my Stampin' Up! Large Letters Framelits Dies. These are $99 for 37 dies - so you want to use them! (Scroll down to the bottom of the page for more info on great ways to purchase them)

So - this time instead of cutting the letters and popping them up on the card - I cut the letters out of the designer paper and then popped that 'negative' onto the card base. Yes - I did use two pieces of 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" designer paper - but hey - it's a special occasion card! (I actually worked it out - for the card/designer paper and ribbon - this card cost $0.85 to make - without any Demo Discount - that would take it down to $0.68 lol -always the Scottish Lassie looking for a bargain ?)

I've been making a lot of Window Boxes lately - all different sizes, but for this one I decided to make the box as it was supposed to be. I added a bit of ribbon and a magnetic closure under the little heart at the front. This is such a cute little box and so easy to make! Come on back after you've hopped and check out yesterday's post to see how to make taller versions!
