Making a hexagon mat to fit the Window Box

A couple of days ago I went a bit crazy with the Window Box Thinlits - and made quite a few - on top of those I added a stamped layered hexagon - and I have had a few questions about how I got the layer to correctly fit.

So - here is a photo tutorial - you should be able to navigate forward and back using the arrows in the top right and pause in the top left.  The instructions are typed at the bottom :)

Thanks for sharing this, Kirsteen. I thought that was how it would be done, but now I don't have to go through fits and starts to cut the perfect hexagon.

I would love to know how you made the different heights.

Love the hexagon shape, now SU needs to bring Layered Hexagon Thinlits and we are fine. Sandbox!
Thanks Kirsteen

I just have to leave you a comment. I have no idea how I stumbled across you but I am so thrilled I did!
Your designs are beautiful....and your tutorials are more helpful to me than you can imagine.
I am considered bow challenged by all of my stamping friends. They definitely say it in a fun joking way, yet I am truly embarassed by my inability to makw a pretty bow or get my knots just the way I want them. Your tutorial on how to tie a knot for my cards almost brought me to tears. You have made something I have struggles with for years easy for me to not only understand but able to duplicate.
Many thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Also.....the tutorial on your box/bags is so wonderful! I always have cardstock and DSP on hand...I will never be having to run out for a gift bag at the last minute again! Well...as long as the gift doesn't need a ginormous bag :)
Thank you sooo much.
I will be an avid follower of you from now on!
