Since the July-Dec '22 Catalog is not live yet - ordering can start July, I can't share photos of the inside of the catalog on this hop until July 😔

But if you have your catalog - go to page go to page 56 and you will see the project I am CASE-ing. 

It uses the Scary Cute Stamp Set and Scary Silhouettes Dies. 

I don't think the project in the catalog uses Parakeet Party as the background for the shaker - but I thought it would work well behind Frank so that's my New In-Colour to meet the Tic Tac Toe.

I didn't have the Black and White Designs 12x12 Designer Paper so I used the Gingham Cottage Designer Paper instead - and you get 48 sheets of that paper in a pack!!

The project in the catalog is a box made with the Designer Paper but I decided to CASE the idea and make it into a Designer Paper wrap and a belly-band for a box I had that would be great to put treats in for Halloween. You can make a belly-band for any box you have - or even a bag. 

I also did not have the For Everything Fancy Sequins so I used some of my Basic Jewels and coloured them with the Parakeet Party Blends to stick to the Designer Paper and I took some of my Basic Jewels and powdered them with the Embossing Buddy from the new Embossing Additions kit - that made them not sticky so they could go in the shaker part of the project. Instead of using so much ribbon to go around the box - I added a cardstock band around the project to hold the shaker.

I didn't notice until I uploaded the photo here that one of the jewels has positioned itself as Franks eye!  

I really enjoyed making this project so I decided to make one for Christmas too. This time I used retired items I had in my Craft Room but I also used the new Window Wishes Stamp Set and the Stoybook Gnomes Designer Paper. 

I hope you liked these projects and they inspire you to CASE items in the catalog but to also change a few things if you don't have everything you need - and then to let your imagination run and use the idea for something else too!

I made a couple of cards once I saw the sketch from this angle....the first follows the sketch exactly - except for the circle which I replaced with a peach from the You're a Peach Designer Paper.

The second one I used 1/2" ribbon instead of the 1/2" x 1 1/2" strip of Cardstock.

I hope you find some inspiration from the idea of using sketches - and can see that sketches can be a great base to design a card - but you don't need to follow them EXACTLY!!

But - the DAFFODIL AFTERNOON 12" X 12" DESIGNER SERIES PAPER had me stumped...it is quite dark for Spring and my mojo just wasn't in the room with it.

​So - what better way to get back to a Hop, and my mojo, than revisiting a previous design?

I LOVE daffodils and Stampin' Up! had a previous daffodil stamp set that I loved but sadly lost in Hurricane Harvey...so I went looking for the fancy fold card I had made with it to CASE and found it HERE - on a previous Kre8tors Hop!
(All the paper measurements and instructions are on that post)

For my Fancy Fold CASE (Copy And Share Everything) I used both the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper from Sale-a-bration and the Daffodil Daydream Bundle.

The Blends colours I used for the daffodil were Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. I smooshed some graphite pencil behind the daffodil die cut to give it some depth and also paper pieced and added mini Stampin' Dimensionals for more depth.

As you pull the tab on one side of the slider the slider on the other side also pops out - and in this case the Raccoon slides across the card too.

Essentially this card is a double slider - and I have a tutorial for that on a previous post

Here is how I added in the sliding Raccoon 😊

The red line shows where the cut and the tab are hidden behind the decoration / snow. Cut layers of 'snow' in Whisper White Cardstock and glue to the bottom of the card Below the level of the cut. Add stamped images behind the snow - but you have to make sure these are flat against the card and do not overlap the cut area.  I then added a Stampin' Dimensional to the top of the tab and trimmed around it before sticking the raccoon to the tab. This holds the raccoon above the Cardstock snow layers and means he doesn't get caught as he slides.

I hope that helps you recreate this card - or use the idea for another slider.

A GIFT CARD! And - make a gift card holder to show him you care enough to make something ;P

For this Gift Card Holder I used some new product from the 2020-2021 catalog, some carry-over product and one of my tutorials from a few years back.

This is a double slider card - with a slot for a gift card in one of the slider 'wings'. When you pull the tab on the right hand side, a tab slides out from both sides :)

As I said in the original post for this Double Slider Gift Card Holder - usually these are made with 12" wide pieces of card stock - but I altered the dimensions so we can use regular 8 1/2" x 11" card.
