Springtime Tag Swap
On Friday this past week, the Houston Paper Divas met for the first time!
The group had decided to do a 'Tag Swap' with the theme of 'Spring'
I've never made 'Tags' before....and maybe that was my problem...
I could not find any inspiration for my tag, my mojo was sleepin' somewhere..
So, on Thursday, I was still procrastinating!!
And then, I couldn't find my tag bases!
(My Stamp room, although slowly getting organised, still has a whole load of stuff piled high!)
I had ONE base.
So, I measured it and then cut out Crumb Cake Bases, and made a start......
Here is the result of my mad Thursday evening crafting!

And the back.....

The photos I took don't really show the end result well....I guess I was in too much of a
hurry to get finished.
As I said, I cut 2 layers of Crumb Cake.
Before I stuck them together I punched a window through both, and ran them through the
Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.
Then I stamped the Eiffel Tower image from 'Artistic Etchings' in Stazon onto a window
sheet and sandwiched it between the 2 layers of Crumb Cake.
To make the tag ring, I punched a half moon of the 1" circle at the top, then added the circle
frame from Hodgepodge Hardware on both sides. To keep those in place,
I punched a hole where the brads are supposed to go and tied
Rose Red Seam Binding through the holes.
I then tied a long piece of Rose Red Seam Binding down one side and secured it by tying a
little linen thread on the bottom, to which I added a Designer brad and
a punched flower of Springtime Vintage DSP.
I then punched a lot more of the little flowers from the DSP (using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack)
and adhered them along the bottom and up the side of the tag.
Now, if you have seen my Hydrangea card HERE,
you'll have seem how I finished each flower with a pearl,
but I just didn't have enough to do that this time - so I mixed Crystal Effects
and Shimmer Paint then dropped a little into each flower centre.

I used My Digital Studio to print out the 'Springtime' from 'Easter Blossoms' Stamp Set,
and also a definition of 'Spring' and 'à Paris' to put on the back of the tag.

So, job done!

I very much appreciate your comments!

So much work. I can't believe you did these in front of the TV. It seems American idol must inspire you LOL!
