My Digital Studio Motorcycle Card

with Faux Embossed Background

Just a quick post today.....

Katy Card Swappers are swapping

Masculine Cards this month.

This card has been dancing around in my head.

I had seen this background texture on a few cards and love it,

but it's not a Stampin' Up! Embossing folder,

So I decided to play around in MDS and see if I could create it.

The shapes in the background are made by

grouping together an oval punch and 2 arrow punches.

Then I copied and pasted, grouped and copied and pasted.

Great job on the card.  Could we have a tutorial! Please.  I am so afraid of using the MDS even though I have had it for 6 months now.  Afraid of goofing it up.  Thanks.

WANDA SAID:

"Very Cool Tutorial. If you start with 12x12, do all these steps then save as a jpeg, you have created your own 12x12 dsp. that can be added to punches etc. Wanda"

Excellent idea Wanda! I should have done that - then I could use it again! Now I'll have to make sure I do all my backgrounds as 12x12 and save them as dsp! THANK YOU!
