Here is another sneak peek at items from the Holiday Catalog available on September 1st....I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) a few of the projects for our team meeting at the weekend.
This time I made a frame - but it is smaller than the one in the catalog I think. This uses Country Lane Designer Paper, Country Home Stamp Set and the new Galvanized Metallic Paper along with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. To give the Metallic Paper that Galvanized look I smooshed Black Stazon over it.
Yesterday was The KILTS August meeting and we swapped cards made using items from the Holiday Catalog pre-order. One of the 'perks' of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is that we get to order in advance of these products being released to the public...so these items cannot be ordered until September 1st. If you would like to learn more about becoming a demo and a member of The KILTS and the other perks then CLICK HERE or Email me. As soon as I opened the catalog I KNEW I had to make a pop out scene card using the new Signs of Santa Stamp Set and framelits - but - then I realised the images on the matching Santa's Workshop Designer Paper can ALSO be cut with the framelits! How awesome is that? And so perfect for multiple cards - roll on my idea for my swap card! So - the front is kind've plain - then the inside is pop out creating a snow scene. Isn't that Santa SO CUTE??!!! It's hard to see in the photos but the Santa's Worksop Enamel Shapes give a little bit of sparkle.... So - you can cut out multiple pieces at a time using the magnetic platform.... Here is what you need to make this card: Signs of Santa Stamp Set Santa's Signpost Framelits Santa's Worksop Enamel Shapes Card Base $ 1/4" x 11" Whisper White cardstock for snow layers: 9 1/2" x 2", 8" x 3", scrap approx 4"x4" for front square, 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" Garden Green cardstock 2 3/4" x 4" Santa's Workshop Designer Paper tree design: 8" x 2", Snowmen (cut by hand), Santa, Elves and Mrs Claus. Memento ink Paper Trimmer, Score Board, Glue, Big Shot, Magnetic Platform Grey Marker I had so much fun making this card - a year on from Hurricane Harvey and it's time to be creative again - even though the kitchen looked like a paper bomb had gone off! (yes - that is a G&T in the background ;P ) Thanks for stopping by - I appreciate your comments - so please click below to leave one!

This month we are highlighting Fall themed projects. Weren't Maureen's projects awesome? You can navigate back to her blog, or forward to Barbara's...by clicking on the previous or next name at the bottom of this post (you are at #1). Living in Houston, we have no 'Fall' as such. We can have cool days but not what most folk think of as Fall. Trying to get into a Fall frame of mind when the weather is almost 100F most days was pretty difficult...so my fall themed projects have a little more of a contemporary look rather than the traditional colours. I haven't crafted much these past several months - but I had a LOT of fun creating these projects! Don't you LOVE the colours in the Nature's Poem Designer Paper? And the leaves! They make my heart skip a beat ;) But, I have also learned in the last year that there's no point in hoarding paper - why not use the pretty stuff? So, I used the leafy paper to make a origami box and added a little accent of it on the card so they matched. I found some Leaves Trinkets I had forgotten I had and using the Big Shot Embossing Mats I created an embossed layer for the card that matched the single Leaf Trinket I added as an embellishment.
I found the instructions for this box on Paper Kawaii Website. I did adjust the paper sizes to 10 1/4" x 7 1/4" as the A4 used in the video is larger than our cardstock and I wanted to use the Blackberry Bliss for the inside of the box.
I hope you liked my projects....Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome to the August Kre8tors Blog Hop!
If you have hopped on over from Alexandra's Blog - welcome! This month we are showcasing 'water' themed projects! When the 2018-19 catalog arrived one stamp set that I fell in love with was the Peaceful Reflection Stamp Set ..on page 158 (did you even notice it?) and even though I had ordered it in my very first new catalog order, I haven't had the chance to use it. This theme was a perfect fit! I LOVE the idea of turning the photopolymer stamp over to create the shadow shape identical to the shape of the stamped image!! HOW CLEVER! I did CASE the card in the catalog but changed up the colour combination slightly - having the catalog is a great inspiration tool to get you going when your mojo has walked! If you would like a catalog please CLICK HERE to request one. But - Pinterest is also a great resource - so you can also CLICK HERE to follow my Peaceful Reflection Pinterest Board.
