This card is a little out of my comfort zone. Gold sequins, banners and Hello Honey (Yellow) are not my forte! But it's good to challenge yourself every now and then! It was one of my swaps for an organised swap I took part in recently. I had wanted to color each of the zig zag elements in different colours but that would have taken way too long for 20 cards...so I stamped in versamark and embossed with White Embossing powder. More of the Lullaby Designer Paper - I am getting my money worth from this dsp! I am grateful for your comments!

I have been making some swap cards this past week and I had chosen the 'Borderettes' Stamp set from the Annual Catalog to make them with. As I looked through my Designer Paper stash I realised that one design from the Lullaby Designer Series paper matched the hearts stamp in the Borderettes! As I made the card it looked more and more like a Wedding card, so I added a heart shaped shaker window with some confetti hearts inside. Here is how to make the shaker window: Punch the heart out of a scrap piece of card Now position the 2 1/2" circle punch over the punched heart and centre it...cut out the circle Put adhesive around the heart (I find Snail Adhesive works best). Punch a 2" circle out of a window sheet and adhere over heart Adhere one of the Shaker Frames around the heart (onto the window frame). You can bend it a little to fit around - or you can use them as a circle Punch out some heart confetti with the Hearts Border punch and lay them all inside the shaker frame. Remove the adhesive backing from the shaker frame and adhere a 2" circle to it. I used a 2" circle of glitter card stock. Then adhere that to your project! Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! as my Mum used to say! I am grateful for your comments! Please click below to leave one. Here is what you need to make this card: At Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City Demonstrators were shown the new 2014 Holiday Catalog for the first time. I have to admit that this catalog is my favourite since I joined SU...There's fun, snowflakes, leaves, Santa's, ghosts and of course for me - lots of potential for 'moving' cards. As soon as I saw the 'Get Your Santa On' stamp set I knew what I wanted to make with it. But, it's taken a few days to get my head around the moving part - I am still not happy with it, but it's still cute I think! You could use this card as a GIft Card Holder by putting the Gift Card behind Santa's arms.... This is the front of the card - you can see Santa's legs in the fireplace..... And here is the card open - as you open the card the Santa slides up through the chimney holding the Gift Card and reveals the 'Chimney Delivery' sentiment ;) Behind the Gift Card I added another sentiment - so you could use this as a regular Christmas Card. I have written a $1 download tutorial for this card.

I have had a bit of a mojo block over the last few weeks, and when I mentioned that to a friend and fellow demonstrator Leslie, she challenged me to make a card using this set. So, off to my room and here is what I came up with..... This card uses the new stamp set 'Holiday Home' from the upcoming Holiday Catalog (launched 28th August) And, you know me - I love to make cards that are a little bit different......so this one looks a little different when you put a tealight or any light, behind it: I've written a $1 tutorial for this card.

I don't think he has ever complained when I've spent hours in my craft room and he's had to go get take out for dinner, or rolled his eyes when I've shown him something I've made. Happy Anniversary Alistair!
Since returning from Convention, I have not been into my Stamp Room! My head is swimming with ideas, I don't know where to start! So, in an effort to get my mojo back I thought I'd post a few pictures of stuff I have made recently that I never got around to sharing. This is a Sampler I made as a Roomie / Downline / Sideline / Gift Exchange / Retreat gift. In all I made 24 of these and loved making them! It uses the Peace, Love and Cupcakes Stamp Set
