I really wanted to have that bear from 'Bear Hugs' Bundle get his Party Pants on - so that I could use the sentiment in The Party Pants stamp set - which incidentally is FREE (with a $50 order) for the next TWO days until Sale-a-bration ends. Here is the bear wearing his stripe 'flares'.....complete with a white belt and silver belt buckle! I originally made the trousers with a 'wild' designer paper - but felt they were a bit too busy - now I am not so sure - they were 'party pants'!! :-D Then I decided that the bear needed to be female - and she needed frilly 'pants' (for those not from the UK - 'pants' in Scotland means 'underwear' - or good old knickers!) So, she needed frilly knickers!! In the end she looked like she was doing the Can-can....so that's how this card came about! For the bustiere I punched a butterfly from a scrap of designer paper, and turned it upside down. To make the bear stand out from the card - and to have her fold flat to mail - I made a basic pop-up square and attached it to the card then attached the bear and her 'stage' to that.

Last weekend we held our monthly KILTS meeting - my team of stampers are called The KILTS (The Kreative and Inspirational Little Teams of Stampers) To join our AWESOME group - click here: This month our theme was fancy folds - so I did a pull up card. maybe not a 'fold' but it's a different than normal fold-in-half card right? I followed the instructions on Splitcoaststampers for the pull up card - that has always been my go to place for tutorials long before Pinterest existed! Here is what you need to make this card, you can click on the picture to go to the store: I forgot to share these Window Box Mother's Day box-cards from a few weeks ago...one for my Mum in pinks and one for my MIL who loves oranges and yellows :) Box card tutorial is HERE - it is slightly different - the same design - just different accents and decorations - what you need to make THIS one is listed below.

Welcome to Creatin' With Kirsteen and welcome to the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop for March.
If you get off track at any time, the full line up of blogs is at the bottom of this post and can help you move along from blog to blog. This month our theme is 'Wedding Dreams'. I haven't really done many Wedding themed cards lately - and I am all 'hearted' out from St Valentine's so I wasn't going to participate in this month's hop - but I had so many questions about THIS EASEL CARD (click here) that I decided to make another - and this time make it Wedding themed.... For this card I went with the oldie but goodie - Owl Punch. There are lots of Bride and Groom Owl Punch images on Pinterest, but I changed mine up a little. When I cut the leaves using the Botanical Builders Thinlits from the glimmer paper, I had several of the little leaves left over - so I used one for the grooms tie. I also used an image from the Grateful Bunch Stamp set for the Bride's Tiara - heat embossed with silver powder. Can you see it - It is from the top right image in the set picture - turned the other way.
The Bridal 'gown' is cut from a paper doily.I embossed a piece of Tip Top Taupe with the Woodgrain Embossing folder and freehand (or fussy) cut the branch. Then I assembled everything onto the back of the 'frame' before attaching it to the card base.
Here is how to make the easel card this way:

This month we are excited to have awesome Guest Hoppers that you should definitely check out! Barbara Welch Charlene Luks Cheryl Hillen Piotrowski I LOVED Spring in Scotland - warmer weather (sometimes), baby animals particularly lambs jumping round in the fields around us, and all the Spring flowers! But, here in Houston, Spring is maybe one day in January, then we jump straight to summer - it has already hit 95F here this week!! So, for my projects I went with some Pastels and Easter. I popped some of those cute animals from the Stampin' Up! Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs onto my Easter card - of course it may bother you that they aren't in proportion - but hey, it's meant to be cute, not accurate ;) This card opens as an easel card - the grass is cut using the fringe scissors WHICH ARE ON SALE AT $7.50 in the Weekly Deals this week), with layers behind the oval 'frame', and then one layer adhered to the inside of the card with a score line so it folds up to keep the easel open. Here is a side view My treat box was made with the Bakers Box thinlit die and I used the fringe scissors to make the little tassles
