Haven't stamped for a few days........

I haven't been able to get into my stamping room for a few days, so nothing new to post.

Here is the reason why...

and also why you should wear a helmet when riding!

Eilidh, our daughter, fell off the horse at her lesson last weekend.

She bounced around on the horn of the saddle for a few seconds, then fell off and hit the back of her head, landing right between the horses hooves!

She has some bruising across her tummy, and has a concussion, and also a hairline fracture of one of her vertebrae!

She is okay - at the moment just VERY tired and sore and having a few memory lapses.

And I feel she has been VERY lucky!

Here are pictures of her helmet!

You can see the outside casing is smashed - and initially I thought, okay, she hit her head hard....

But, when Alistair looked at the inner shell closely, here is what he found...she hit harder than we thought.

The inner shell is mis-shapen,

And, there is a crack right across it's inside....

Thankfully it did the job it was supposed to do and took the brunt of the impact.

I am astonished when I see folk, especially kiddos, riding, cycling, skiing without helmets here!

Without a doubt, if Eilidh had not been wearing hers, she would have had a much more serious head injury!

She is such a pretty rider and I love watching her!

Heres hoping she will have the confidence to get back on when the Dr says she can!
