Stamp Camp Card #1

Nature Walk Velum Card

I hold a Monthly Stamp Camp...it's great fun, with a lot of laughter and, I think, some good cards!

If you are in Katy, or somewhere close, and want to attend, please feel free to email me for info on the next one!

We used a 'Faux Silk' Technique...

*Stamp the image on the card (we did the eggs and bird)

*take a piece of tissue paper and scrunch it up

*unscrunch (new word) the tissue paper

*spread glue all over the card

(you will need to take care doing this as ink is water based and may smudge)

*spread the tissue all over the card, but don't try to get rid of all the creases.

*fold over the edges...neatly.

At this point in Stamp Camp we discussed 'Nurse Corners'...so, I will share with you also!

For those of you who don't know, I am a nurse.

And, I did my training during a time when Sister on the ward still wanted all the bed sheet corners crisp and cleanly folded.

It's still a pet hate of mine seeing untidy bed sheet corners....this has 'evolved' shall we say, to my crafting, and wrapping gifts, and, well you get my point...anything that requires folding corners.

AND, we always had to have the 'open' end of the pillow cases facing away from the entrance to the ward....so the Dr's wouldn't see the untidy opening!

Well, yep, I still do that...much to my Hubbys teasing.

All the pillow or cushion openings on our bed/sofa/chairs face away from the door!

No, the house is a TIP!

So, by deduction, I can reassure myself that I am NOT obsessive!

Nature Walk Stamp Set #121925

Botanical Gazette Designer Paper # 121783

Wow Kirsteen - this is beautiful! So glad I found your blog a while ago. I wouldn't have thought of doing a Vellum card - and I love the use of the eyelets and thread too. I am pasting this straight into my 'CASE THIS' file!
