My first Christmas Card this year!!

Here is todays share.....

But.....It is an easel card......

That can have the fire lit  !!!

(I have had so many emails asking for the dimensions and directions - that I will post a little photo tutorial later!)

I made it so that a little battery operated tea light can be inserted behind, and cut an aperture for the fire.  Then I Stamped the image onto Vellum and coloured it in, so that the light from the tea light can flicker through!!!

For this card I used the new set - Fireside Christmas from the new Holiday Mini (Order number: 120827, $16.95)

The card colours I used are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake, and the Designer Series Paper 'Deck the Halls (Order number: 120810, $9.95).

Here is a close up.

Kirsteen this is lovely! Some cards/stamps can be used to their full potential, as you did, and they can also be used simply - as others (who don't have your talent) will do. In any event your card is a treat for the eye and the imagination (can almost feel that fire!!) and I thank you sincerely for sharing it and telling us how it was done.
Can't wait to see more of your work. :0)

I love how you incorporated the tea light into this easel card, and using the fireplace scene was brilliant!!  Thanks for sharing the deets - you have opened my mind to other ways of using SU stamps.  I made a fairy light that used a tea light too - I love using tealights - just wish they would last longer since I forget to turn them off lol.  Mary

I would never thought of doing this with a tealight - makes me want to go and look at all my other sets to see what else I can 'light up'.  Great card Kirsteen!!!

Kristeen, I love this card and I planning on making it for an upcoming crop for a Make-N-Take (I'm a SU Demo). I was just wondering if it would cost me too much to make for a Mak-N-Take so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing your directions. Just looking at the card I think I can figure it out what you use but I want to make sure I don't leave out any of the details that make this card a WOW card. Thanks
