Pink and Yellow Stripes

line_card

I saw a square card made with lines of scrap cardstock

in card magazine in different colours than these, and

decided to CASE it for a Stamp Camp.  But when I tried

to use the circle cutter, it wouldn't cut through the ridges

of the different layers of cardstock.

So, I decided to make the window somehow using our

circle punches.

Then, the circle punches wouldn't reach the middle of

the 5x5 card, so change design again to a 3x6 card.  But,

I wanted to make the circle window a little different, so I

have layered a piece of card between two pieces that

make up the front of the card. This means that when you

open the card you see the circle of dots in the window -

the same as you see from the front.  It's a little time

consuming, as you can only cut through one layer of

cardstock at a time with your punches, or you risk them

jamming.

In the end I actually like it better than the original one I

tried to CASE - it's a little 'different'.

By the way - the dots in the window - it's not Designer

Paper.  We used the eraser end of a new pencil, dipped

in an inkpad and 'dotted' onto scrap white cardstock!
