Witches Broom and Hat:
Revisiting the Petal Cone Die
Hey there!
I know, it has been a LONG time since I posted!
I have been SUPER busy....
My visit to Scotland was great fun,
My Christmas Stamp 'n' Stacks are done..
and I have even done a workshop!
Then, went on retreat this past weekend!
But, as I type this, I am in a collar and wrist splints.
It seems that cutting and prepping over 2000 cards
was just too much for my old
(and getting older by the day..it is my birthday tomorrow)
to cope with...I have been ordered by the doc
to rest up - and that means NO CRAFTING!!!
Can you believe it??!!!
So, I am going to use the time to post
all the projects that i have pictures for that I have
not shared yet!!
Today is a Halloween Treat Broom and Hat

This is such an easy and quick project -
great for last minute Halloween decor in the entrance hall
which is where it is sitting in our home!
That Petal Cone Die! Don't ya love what it can do??!!
To make the broom, cut 2 of the petal cone die and adhere
toegther. Cut a slit across the top about 1/4 inch down.
Roll a 1x 8.5 inch strip of eggplant around a straw
and pop it in the slit.
I spritzed mine with smooch spray, and did the same to
a sheet of black card. I cut strips about 1/4 inch wide
and adhered them to the top of the petal cone, leaving a bit
of an overlap at the top.
Tie a bit of Old Olive ribbon around, fill with treats and
add a tag - simple!
The hat is made the same - assemble the petal cone.
Add a scallop circle as the base.
Add a strip of Eggplant around it, and a punched circle of Olive.
So, since I am ordered out of my craft room
I will post tomorrow!!!
I am appreciative of your comments.

Take care of yourself and rest up - we need you able to do more crafting!
Happy Birthday too!
Alison
This project is REALLY cute - but you HAVE to do what the doc says and rest, or we won;t get to see any more of your wonderful projects.
Many Happy Returns today! Be careful blowing out those candles!
Dxx
Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your special day - hope you feel better soon
