Expanded Candy Wrapper Treat Box

&

Halloween Notelets

Last week I was busy preparing for a secret trip.....

and on Wednesday I travelled to Scotland to surprise

the Tartan Stampers....a group of Scottish Stampin' Up!

Demonstrators. The group were getting together

this weekend to stamp, swap and share classes.

I had a fabulous time.

I have spent the weekend laughing so much

my sides hurt! It was great to meet up with

great friends I had made whilst I was a Demo

in Scotland, and make new ones.

I truly am blessed that my stampin' addiction

has introduced me to so many great folk

on both sides of the 'Big Pond'.

So, I am posting my 'secret' project from Mum and Dads

house in Carnoustie...where I am staying for a few days,

before heading back to Houston later in the week.

I miss Alistair and the kids, but it is nice to

spend time with Mum and Dad on my own!

OK,

Here is my offering at the get-together!

This is a Halloween Candy Treat box...

I used the Candy Wrapper die (#120890)

but, it is a little wee, so I extended it by folding

the card before I ran it through the Big Shot.

I will be posting a video when I eventually get home

so call back next week!

I used the Firghtful Sight Designer Paper to

cover where the folds/extension is.

Then I added a little ghostly tag....the ghost was

made with the Owl Punch.

You turn it upside down and cut the feet off!

Then the girls made 2 little Halloween Notelets.

This one is a Punch Art Bat,

again, using the Owl Punch, and 2 oval punches

for the wings.

And then this one is a Punch Art Devil....

Isn't he cute??!! - - If you can call a Devil CUTE!

Can you guess the punches I used for him?

devilowlpunch_kgill

Face: Owl Punch

Ears: Bird Punch (wings)

Nose and horns: Circle Punches

Beard: Blossom Builder Punch

The original idea was taken from a topper

by Cathy Bell, but I had to change it a

bit as punches had retired!!

THANK YOU Tartan Stampers for allowing

me to be part of your weekend!

I loved all the projects!

:o)

I love the owl/bat and devil, he really is cute!
also, regarding the light print on the emails, etc, an easy way to read it is to open the email, then press Ctrl and A together, it "highlights" the entire email and changes the wording to darker colors so you can read everything. To see the pictures, just click on one and the highlighting goes away, then press Ctrl and A again to keep reading. The first couple of emails I got I couldn't figure it out, but once I clicked on a link and saw the posting on your blog, it made sense. You have such great ideas, I love following your blog!

It amazes me the ways you find to use an ordinary punch above and beyond its original use.  Great devil.
