Candy Wrapper Advent Tree

A few days ago I told you I had won
the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set (#120857)
at a TOPICS Demo evening.

And, I was so happy because I wanted to use
it on a project I had been working on.
Well.....here is that project......

tree

This uses 55 Candy Wrappers - YES 55!
So, here is the video to make them quickly!!

As you can see I stamped each image form the
Jolly Bingo Bits
and punched out with a 1" circle punch and layered
with a 1 1/4" Real Red Circle.

On the back of each is a number....

And this corresponds to each date in December
counting down to
Christmas Day.

My 2 children usually take turns to open
the Advent Calender.
So, along with a little print out of a
Christmas Bible quote (which I rolled up and tied with ribbon),

and a sweet treat (in this case Chocolate),

I'm inserting a little handmade gift.

Now, a girlie gift was easy....

I have made 12 little matching inserts for her
Adorned Charm....

But, I am still stuck on a boy gift....time to get my
thinking cap on!
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Here is a piccie of one the 'Girlie' days...

Love this idea--but I'm kind of confused at how they pull out the candy wrapper and open the individual days without toppling the tree over?  After considering magnetic and velcro backings to stick each wrapper to something individually, I decided it would probably be easiest to put my advent candy wrappers together in a garland (each tied to the next with ribbon) so the kids could just untie the one at the end to open it for each day. Plus, I'm lazy and only have to make 24 wrappers that way...lol.

Hi Kimberely!
Each 'layer' of candy wrappers has a 1 1/2" strip of cardstock along the top/bottom of them....some are stuck to it, some not, each 'end' candy wrapper is stuck to that strip of card stock - so you can pull some out, but the others are still stuck in position and so provide the support! Hope that helps you picture what I have done!
