Bird of Paradise.....my way!

.....

I LOVE Bird of Paradise flowers....and for the last few days, when I have been walking the dog, I have been working out in my head how I could make one using cardstock.......

.....

Finally today I came back, and although I should be doing something else - namely getting stuff packed up!, I took a wee while to try to make one - and this is the result.

.....

It's basic, but if you don't look too closely I think it passes!!!

So, now I'm off to sort and pack!!!

I think it turned out great. It is really beautiful, and captures the essence of the flower.
